How to get your family involved
Sometimes the hardest part of trying to support your family on a budget is that you always feel alone. The kids are constantly leaving the lights on, you don’t feel like you get any help from your partner, or just maybe you don’t let anybody help. Whatever the case, here’s some tips to make things be easier, as a family.
Have the kids help you go through the papers, or give them a pair of scissors to help cut the coupons. The most important thing is let them be involved. That’s all our kids usually want is to spend more time with us and have our attention. Ask your partner if they would like to help, and if not, ask them if they could tend to dinner, or something else while you maintain the coupons, since the overall goal of this hobby is to save the family money. Try to maybe provide incentives to some of the older kids that may not want the attention so much. Offer them an hour extra TV or phone time, let them choose dinner, something to grab their attention and make them want to help.
Find a routine and as long as everyone works together as a family to save money, there is more money to have for other things (such as a teenagers birthday, wink wink, bribery) Either way, if you are unable to find a way to make this as less stressful as possible, then maybe we should try a new technique, but start off with some of these tips first and see how it goes. Hope this helps!
Thanks Always!
