Freeze your credit...literally. Take your credit cards and put them in a ziplock or tupperware filled with water then place them in the freezer, not in your wallet where it’s easy to spend them. If you argue that you need it for “emergencies,” just be sure to keep a small amount of cash hidden in your wallet for these emergencies.If there truly was a credit card worthy emergency, slamming that block of credit card ice on the kitchen floor wouldn't really be that big of the deal now would it, other wise just be patient and defrost it in the sink, which will give you even more time to think about the "is it worth it" angle. Don’t keep plastic on you until you have the willpower to not use it even when you’re sorely tempted.
